This piece is based on the Scripture form 1 Corinthians 13:4-13. When I painted the background I didn’t know where else to go. I sat with this piece for a few months … it took 4 months but I figured out how to complete it . The original piece is 40×30 Acrylic on Canvas When I painted the background I had no head where it was headed then I woke from my sleep in the midst of a stressful week & it came to me… The colors are even picked specially because of what they mean… Purple: Royalty, Ambition Gold: Wealth Teal: Rejuvenation Black: Forgiveness & Absolution of past mistakes The combination used within the context of 1 Corinthians 13:4 is to speak to the idea that love, 1 Cor. 13:4 love is royal, it brings wealth, & provides clarity of purpose along with forgives as the verse says.. love keeps no record of wrongdoing.
