1 Corinthians 13 Love Test
This simple test is for you to identify how one lives up to each of the virtues of Love in 1 Corinthians 13. Depending how well an individual does with the virtues can be an indicator of how strong or weak their relationships are.
For this love test, we’re focusing on verses 4-8 of 1 Corinthians 13 which reads like this:
- Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud
- It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
- Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
- It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
- Love never fails
All you need to do for the 1 Corinthians 13 Love Test, is replace the word “Love” with a name.
That name could be you, your partner, a family member, a friend or even someone you are interested in for growing a relationship.
Use any references of “Love” and replace them with the name of the person you are thinking of.
The objective for this test is to evaluate how one lives up to each of the 1 Corinthians 13 virtues. As you put a name with a virtue, you should be evaluating how much that person lives up to each of the virtues. There is no scoring, just a simple reflection of your own for each virtue for that person.
